v1.01 has been published! This version features:

  • (!)A brand new course(!)
  • A revised main menu which allows you to select which course to play

----

A speedrun-focused rolling ball racing game, inspired by other speedrun-focused rolling ball racing games (especially Trials Evolution: S.P.H.E.R.E.). Simple concept: get to the end as quickly as you can. The course is designed to be particularly difficult, and no movement mechanics are available aside from simply rolling your character (ball) around. No jump, no boost, etc. - the only way to gain speed is by rolling.

Velocity Voyage has 1 course available for its initial release, but my plan is to expand it later by adding additional courses. Given it is a speedrun-focused game, and I want to allow competition to thrive, I am making a commitment that once a course has been released in a build of the game, I will not change that specific course in any future release of the game, regardless of any glitches or exploits that may be discovered in it.

The initial release of this game is a quick (1 day) project. It uses some core mechanics I developed previously for my game 87 Aftermath. Apart from that, it was built entirely on the 5th of November, 2023. Hope you enjoy! :)

PS. Please do feel free to drop by my development Discord if you have any questions/complaints/bug reports/thoughts/comments on this game or any of the others I've made: https://discord.goober.gg/

If you like the more physics based and "more punishing" style of rolling ball games - this games for you. :)

Short enough to not leave you frustrated but challenging enough to keep you hunting for little short cuts :)
